Ghana-Norway To Hold Summer School on UDS Tamale Campus: Calls For Applications

Norway in collaborating with Ghana is to offer a 5-day Summer School in Medical Physics and Radiography in June 2018. Lectures will be held at UDS-Tamale Campus and hands-on practical sessions will be held at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. Areas of training will include MRI, X-ray and Ultrasound Imaging.

Ghana-Norway Summer School is therefore calling for applications. Students and Professionals in any area of Medical Physics or specialty in Radiography/Medical Imaging can apply before or by April 15, 2018.

Successful applicants will attend the programme on a Scholarship Package, which includes: FREE registration, participation, accommodation, feeding, and cash for transportation.

Ghana-Norway Partnership for Training on Medical Physics and Radiography is a collaboration between Ghana and Norway, with the project titled Ghana-Norway Collaboration in Medical Physics and Radiography Education (NORPART-2016/10470).  The objective is to establish a partnership for education and research within the fields of Medical Physics, Radiation Protection and Radiography. The project will result in student mobility on master and PhD level, as well as mobility of academic staff. The project coordinators are Professor Pål Erik Goa, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway) and Professor John Justice Fletcher, University of Development Studies (UDS- Ghana).
